Sadhana Bakthi Part 4
Sadhana Bakthi Part 4
Radhae Radhae
My Humble pranams to my brothers and sisters of the Divine Truth.
To many of us who receive the Bakthi_dham e-mail we are familiar with the term Roop Dhyan (active meditation on a creative basis). I remember once Shri Maharaji said “If you want Shri Krishna to play cricket with you, you can. Why you can even dress Him up in a cricket uniform”. Conventionally speaking this may sound unholy. Tell me have you known any of the Jagadguru’s follow a conventional style of teaching? Every one of them broke the rules of engagement. Why was that so? All the five Jagadguru are in the present age of kali Yuga. In an age of deception, chaos and uncertainty the Jagaduru’s and the Rasik saints cannot follow the conventional ways of teaching on a 100% basis. They have adapted a different approach to the delivery methods.
Shri Maharaji’s way of doing Roop Dhyan is a very easy way. Every madhuri (sweetness) in His Prem Ras Madira is beautiful that we all use that for our Roop Dhyan method. Shri Maharaji has saved us time and effort otherwise we have to be cracking our heads to look for a leela. Not many of us know Sanskrit and to open up the Srimad Bagavatam and to enjoy the raas of the leela will be difficult. The Kirtans in Shri Maharaji’s books are in Braja Basha and some in Hindi and for those of you who do not know the language well there is direct English translation that are ever helpful. The Prem Ras Madira consists of 1008 Kirtans and it was composed in 9 days by Shri Maharaji. Prem Ras Madira has a total of 15 over Madhuris. The word Madhuri means ‘sweetness’. As such in this book Prem Ras Madira, after the name of which the chapters are entitled, explain as to what kind of sweetness should be expected in the pad (Kirtan) of a particular Madhuri.
Sadguru Madhuri : The sweetness of a spiritual master
Rasiya Madhuri : The sweetness of Rasiyas – folk songs sung in a particular way
Siddhanta Madhuri : The sweetness of Spiritual principles (philosophy)
Dainya Madhuri : The sweetness of humbleness
Murali Madhuri : The sweetness of the flute of Lord Krishna
Bala Lila Madhuri : The sweetness of the childhood pastimes of Lord Krishna
Milana Madhuri : The sweetness of the Divine meeting with Lord Krishna in
Consorthood
Shri Krishna Madhuri: The sweetness of Shri Krishna
Shri Radha Madhuri : The sweetness of Shri Radha Rani
Mahashaki Madhuri : The sweetness of eight foremost shakis (friends) of Shri Radha
Lila Madhuri : The sweetness of different pastimes of Shri Radha Krishna
Yugala Madhuri : The sweetness of the Divine Couple- Shri Radha Krishna
Nikunja Madhuri : The sweetness of Shri Radha Krishna’s pastimes in the
groves of Braja
Maana Madhuri : The sweetness of Maana (anger)
Viraha Madhuri : The sweetness of separation from Lord Krishna
These fifteen Madhuri’s all poetically woven in the most beautiful manner that will melt the hardest and coldest stone hearted person to fall in love with Shri Radha Krishna. A perfect instrument for Sadhana Bakthi at this present time. There is more to come on Shri Maharaji’s literature, Prem Ras Sankitana, Yugala Shatak. Bakthi Shatak, Radhae Govinda Geet to name a few. You would notice that what you will need to think of, the choice of words that you will want to use in your Sadhana Bakthi is all there. Shri Maharaji has done it all for us. All we have to do now is to practice Sadhana Bakthi.
When we sing the Kirtans from Shri Maharaji’s books we have to do Roop Dhyan, when we sing keep in mind the meaning of the verse. Parrots too can chant Radhae Radhae; the difference between them and us is that we can use the faculty of the mind to bring us the benefit of Bakthi (devotion) in our hearts. Hearts devoid of devotion losses the luster of life, remember the reason why we are here, we are born to serve the Lord, that’s our ultimate duty. One may argue otherwise, which ever way you are serving, its either you are serving the body, the relations of the body, things that are attached to the body or even God. You are serving somebody everyday the question is weather we realize or not that’s all. We are fortunate that we have the grace of our Guru Shri Maharaji showering upon us. I have not seen God but seeing Jagadguru Kripalu Mahaprabhu who is true to his name Kripa (mercy and grace), I truly have faith that God is waiting for us with open arms to embrace us. It’s not in His nature to punish us or to humiliate us; look Putana was given a place Golok dham for trying to kill Shri Krishna. Even Ravana was given the chance to be with Lord Rama on his death.
