Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj's Final Lecture - Man Karu Sumiran [Subtitled Eng] Its all about the Mind and how to use the mind  to aid your sadhana and its importance.  O Mind! Meditate Upon the Lotus Feet of Shri Radha Rani This was the final talk given by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, Bhakti Bhavan, November 11, 2013 One with true spiritual knowledge addresses his mind, “Listen, mind!  Meditate on the lotus feet  of Radha Rani.”  Every sense organ performs its respective function.  The tongue performs the  function of speaking; ears perform the function of hearing; eyes perform the function of seeing;  the nose performs the work of smelling; skin performs the function of touching, and the mind  performs the function of thinking.  But here the devotee is asking the mind to listen.  He is telling not the ears, but the mind to listen.  Imagine someone asking his eyes to listen attentively.  Eyes can...

Actions of God and Saints

Actions of God and Saints Hari Guru karma divya Govinda Radhey, mayic budhi te agamya bate dey. (Synopsis of a talk given by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj on December 29, 2010, in Bhakti Dham, Mangarh, India, explaining this new kirtan verse) The Vedas and scriptures and also Saints have said that there is no difference between God and His Saints. Tasminstajjaney-bhedabhavat . (Narad Bhakti Darshan) In some places in the scriptures, God has even regarded His devotee Saint as greater than Him. How astonishing! Nirapeksham munim shantam… (Bhagwatam, 11/14/16) Shri Krishna said to Uddhava, “When My Saints walk on the earth, I secretly walk behind them.” Uddhava wondered, “Why do You secretly follow them? It must be to protect them.” Shri Krishna said, “No, Uddhava, anubrajamyaham nityam puyeya , I do this so their footdust may fall on Me and purify Me. That is how loving My Saints are to Me.” After God realisation, God bestows all His powers on the bhakta Saint. Fo...

Happy New Year 2012

Image
Radhey Radhey Everyone, Wishing all of you a blessed 2012, and may this New year bing clarity of thought and you closer to Hari and Guru. Recently someone sent me a mail about the the world ending in 2012, if that prediction is true then there is no worry as every problem we experience in this life will end with the end of the world. The truth of the matter is that only the problem of this life has ended but the Sanchit karma  (accumulated) & Prarabdh Karma (karma from past actions) will haunt us in the comming lives. We cant escape the :- trigun -  the three mayic qualities - satvik, rajas, tamas trikarm - the three kinds of actions (sanchit-past accumulated, prarabdh, fate of this life, kriyaman, new actions of present life) tridosh - the bodily humors described in Ayurved - vat, pit, kaph). panchkosh - five material sheaths – earth, air, water, fire and ether Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaji the 5th current Jagadguru says.... "So I advise ...

Understanding God means removing our ego

Image
Understanding God means removing our ego   Chaitanya Dev Gaurang Mahaprabhu says that a person becomes a Saint when the Divine love of Krishna appears in his heart. Until then, even the celestial gods of intelligence like Saraswati and Brihaspati cannot understand a Saint’s words, actions, and behaviour. Even great yogis and munis cannot understand a Saint. Only God and other Saints can understand a Saint. Why? Sometime Saints act just as we act in the world. Sometimes they may appear very formal and sometimes they may act in an anti-social way. Sometimes they may seem as if they have one screw loose, sometimes two, three, and sometimes all four screws loose. Sometime a Saint cries, sings, laughs, jumps, or does anything else. Occasionally his condition may appear to be like of a crazy person. Sometime he may seem normal. He lives in an ever-changing state. Depending upon his Divine bhav (state of Divine love absorption), he acts accordingly. From inside he loves you,...

God is Causlessly Merciful – Part 2

Cont.....A Short lecture by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj Yesterday it was explained that although God is causelessly gracious, He doesn’t grace everyone. Since eternity we have been under the control of Maya, due to which we have revolved in the cycle of birth and death in the 8.4 million life forms, and experienced unending suffering. Yet God has also graced some selected souls with His divine knowledge, bliss and eternal life. He even says, “Aham bhakta paradheenah.” “I walk beyond My loving devotees to be blessed by their footdust.” Once there was a great devotee of Lord Krishna named Ambarish. Ambarish was a king. Sage Durvasa, who had great yogic powers and also a very bad temper, went to Ambarish’s kingdom. Durvasa became so angry with Ambarish, that he created a kritya, a evil spirit, and ordered him to go and cut off Ambarish’s head. When God saw this, He also became angry and released His divine weapon, the chakra, and ordered it to cut off not only the demon’s head, but ...
